On Sunday, 13th August 2017, I once again joined the team offering sports massage for the cyclists who entered The Great Shakespeare Ride in aid of The Shakespeare Hospice. Very proud to be offering my services for such a wonderful charity and although I know we made £324.00 on the day, the overall total for the event so far is £20,000! I personally gave 13 people a 15-minute massage during the event, which made me very proud.
In an effort to bring new and more beneficial treatment techniques, Kelley has begun training in Neuromuscular Reeducation (NMR) by attending a one-day seminar in Shoulder Protocol with a view to eventually obtaining certification. Led by Dr Peter J. Levy and assisted by Judith Townsend, the seminar was very informative and Kelley feels that this technique will bring some positive results in a shorter amount of time. - Watch this space.
Kelley was very proud to be part of the SMA's Road2Rio Programme, which brought athletes competing in the 2016 Olympics and soft tissue therapists together. If you would like to know more about the programme, please visit the SMA's website.
